Learning and Sharing

My friends and I used to take weekend trips together.  We called them Ladies’ Weekends, which consisted of a lot of shopping and eating.  Super fun.

And speaking of fun, we created a version of “Oprah’s Favorite Things” giveaway.  (Oprah used to give away her favorite products on her talk show.) We each took along a personal favorite thing, enough so each of our friends could have one.  It was usually something small, like a certain type of tea, lip gloss, lotion, etc.  But I received a lot of great tips on great products during those weekends.  The Favorite Things was as much about learning as it was gift giving and receiving.

So this week I decided to share some of my favorite products.  Yes, the links shared are affiliate links.  I do get a small commission if you purchase through one of the listed links.  But the links also give you a visual of the product so you have an idea of what I am talking about.

So here they are in no particular order!  Based on my opinion, these products are worth taking a look at!

8 Products That Have Improved My Life

1. Paul Mitchell Fast Drying Sculpting Spray

This spray is light and holds shape well.  I love it for my wavy/semi curly hair.  I spray it on before I blow dry my hair and afterward to keep things in place.  My hair never feels stiff or plastered.  I try to avoid that 1980s phenomenon.

2. CWX Sports Bra

I first bought one of these at a sporting goods store on a good sale.  For a blind purchase, it turned out as good as it gets.  Love these.  The support for high impact exercise is top notch.  And they hold up beautifully wash after wash.  I still use the first one I purchased more than 8 years ago!

3. Brooks Running Shoes

Several years ago I went to a sports store to try on running shoes.  I wanted the employees’ opinions on a good performing brand.  They recommended Brooks, and I have been a fan ever since.  These shoes are comfortable, support the feet well and look impressive.  I not sure exactly which styles or models I have purchased, but I have had several pair and loved them all.

4. Trader Joe’s Chocolate Covered Almonds

This product from Trader Joe’s offers milk chocolate and dark chocolate covered almonds in the same container.  Bonus!  I feel like it isn’t a terribly unhealthy treat since there are almonds involved.  I enjoy them immensely.

5. Peds Ankle Socks

I don’t have any great or impressive reasons why I love these socks.  I just do.  They are soft and comfortable, hold their shape and don’t shrink considerably after washing.  I am sticking with these socks for as long as I can.

6. Eden’s Garden Essential Oils

If you are an oils user, I highly recommend Eden’s Garden.  They have a very large assortment of single and blended oils for a very reasonable price.  After reading about the company, I am convinced that the oils are of good quality.  Eden’s Garden has sold me many lovely and beneficial oils over the years.

7. Blistex Medicated Lip Ointment

This might be a commonly used product, but in my book in it worth mentioning.  The medication included does wonders for dry and sore lips year round.  I automatically apply it before bed to keep dryness from setting in.  Some lip products actually dry my lips out more, but this one does not.  Many tubes of this have lived in my bathroom drawer over the years.

8. Oregon Trail Chai Tea

Not much more I can say about this, other than “YUMMMM!!!”

I believe the Chai Tea was one of the things you brought for Favorite Things one weekend. Always yummy!
